You will be working directly with Shell Mendelson, a nationally recognized career coach and consultant, director of a Community College career center, and former CEO-Founder of KidzArt, an international art education franchise. Shell’s experience spans 25 years of career development work with individuals and groups. As a franchisor, Shell assisted new entrepreneurs new to business ownership to profitability. She has also advised and coached individuals at all stages from just starting out on a new career path to landing your ideal job or starting a new business.
Do you work individually or with groups?
BOTH. NB Careers’ approach to providing services is, in a word, flexible. What this means to you is that we offer a variety of services that fit your needs, including, but not limited to: Individual comprehensive career path counseling (from not having a clue what you want to do to landing the job of your dreams), Groups that focus on identifying and planning for a new career direction (peer support is key in this process), Career Coaching Café – allows you to drop in on an “as needed” basis at any stage in your career (30 minute increments), resume development and review, job hunt skills and everything in between. NB CAREERS can also assist parents who wish to enhance their child’s opportunity to develop the best possible career direction leading to career success.
How do I know if you’re the right consultant for me?
Shell Mendelson provides a free 30 minute consultation so that we can get to know one another and for you to ask questions. At that time, you can decide if you wish to continue on. Shell will advise on how you can best work together, given your situation. Please contact Shell at 830-626-6334.
Are there any “guarantees” that I will find the work or direction I’m best suited to do?
The Career Path Counseling process is designed to provide you with the most up-to-date tools that will guide you to the selection of a customized career, work or college direction. Using these tools exactly as shown and knowing your direction will give you an advantage over the general population of those who do not opt for Career Path Coaching. However, it does not guarantee that you will be offered a specific job or be hired by an employer. What you personally do with the information is your responsibility, yet we are always here to help.
